 CSI @ School

Do any of you have CSI Clubs at school? At our school we do.

It's called CSI: HK. We're working on creating a "MURDER NIGHT" at school at like the end of the semester, and each person in our team of like eight or nine will work together. We should have about four murders/cases to work on. Basically we research about our topic (I'm the in-house ballistics expert) and we create multiple scenes for the public to work on.

All the profits go to either the CSI lab in Hong Kong, or to a charity.

What about you guys?

Oh. Pity. It's actually a really good idea, because you can take what other people have created, and actually learn something. Better than reading from a textbook and taking notes! Besides, it's all about science anyway, so it's sort of like a crazy science course that's really hands on!

PS: I'm a Level 2 now!!!!

Thanks ;)

Do you think that if there was a curriculum created for crime scene analysing, schools would make it a course? I mean, wouldn't it be possible, if it fitted the program in High Schools? They have a CSI course in some universities, so why not start early in HS and make it a science subject? I'm sure A LOT of people would join.

We have a program at our high school for forensics including fingerprinting, tire impressions, D.N.A and antoropology. It's so cool, but it's only offered to juniors and seniors. I'm not in high school yet (I'm in eighth grade), but when I'm a junior, that's my first class!

Lucky you. For the colleges that I saw like last week, most of them had criminology courses, which is pretty much forensics science. I don't know if my HS has forensics science in the junior/senior years yet though (I'm only a freshman).
